18 Feb EpisKey participates in health regulation teaching and dissemination activities
The year 2022 has started with a leap in the participation of informative and, above all, teaching activities. Episkey Medical Consulting has participated in two online events that have helped in the understanding of healthcare regulation.
Master’s Degree in Biomedical Technology Management and Development
On 10 February, students of the Carlos III University of Madrid’s Master’s Degree in Management and Development of Biomedical Technologies received a master class from Isabel. This master’s degree provides knowledge about Biomedical technologies such as Genetic Bioengineering; Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Biology; Stem Cells; Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine; Omic Technologies or Synthetic and Systems Biology, which provides students with purely scientific tools and competences.
On the other hand, this master’s degree also offers knowledge on the management, development and transfer of new Biomedical Technologies in public and private environments. It is in this second block that Episkey gave the guest lecture.
We are happy to see that universities understand that their students need to be able to perform Research and Development, but that they will also need to know how to transfer the knowledge generated to society. Often, health regulation is a necessary step for knowledge transfer.
Webinar for Ticbiomed partners
We are increasingly involved in the events organised by Ticbiomed. On 16 February, Episkey, as a partner, offered an informative webinar on the health regulation of new technologies such as “softwareas a healthcare product”.
This webinar discussed the European medical device and in vitro medical device regulations (MDR and IVDR) that apply to the manufacture and marketing of medical software in Europe.
At Episkey Medical Consulting, we continue to support manufacturers (present and future) of medical devices with outreach and education on regulatory affairs.
