Restrictions adopted due to the coronavirus pandemic are gradually being relaxed. The options to participate in face-to-face meetings are increasing. Through Ticbiomed, we are informed of the call for the Forum on Innovation and Digital Transformation in Health for March 16 in Murcia. At Episkey Medical Consulting we saw no better opportunity to meet with clients and friends from the healthcare sector.

What is the Innovation and Digital Transformation in Health Forum?

It is a meeting to evaluate the technological advances that have accelerated progress in the health sector. The emergence of new technologies can be exciting and, at the same time, bring new uncertainties.

“If I have developed patient management software, is it a medical device, and if so, do I need a CE mark to market it, and does a Notified Body have to come in to assess the certification?”

These are some of the questions we often answer. Episkey has experience in all these areas and therefore, we travelled to Murcia to offer information to manufacturers. On the way we could meet some of our customers like José María Ruiz, CCO of DooleHealth.

Our CEO, Isabel, was on hand to provide information on how medical software should be regulated. Of all the topics that were discussed, we highlight the interesting proposal on digital transformation in healthcare organisations and the manufacturers’ exhibition, in which they talked about proposals such as, among others, software solutions for patient management and treatment adherence.

The experience was very satisfying and we will definitely visit this forum again in the following calls.
